loll.. just heard frm shi en that mario withdrew frm AI4 top 12... can't help but feelin sad cos i just got star struck by his charisma by watching his perf vids of 'do i do' and 'i love music'... simply fabulous... so kinda sad that he's out.. or else the show will be much nicer... damn he's replaced by nikko.. bahh dun really like him cos he looks weird... sigh.. hafta place all my bets on carrie underwood le... anthony and anwar dint have the same effect on me like how mario and carrie did... and now since mario is gone, i'll support carrie all the way!! poor sua yu, he must be devastated now...
loll ok finally. lets talk abt
my sabbaticals - phytochemistry and scent-sation. wat a pun. haha not funny... k, the whole course was ok lar.. cos sua and sean and jijo are there so quite fun.... even tho thruout the 5 days, i've been consistently called gay and gal by douglas and co., but i dun really give a damn... haha now there's this wenyuan guy that looks seemingly like a gorilla and a chengfeng guy that bear a resemblence to wat i would call a red indian.. 'oooh ooh ooh'...
and douglas and kevin and sean are like
the gay company lor.. always hug each other from the back, touch each other like nvr before and everything.. but sensitive me keeps mum. seriously lor, the first 2 days are damn fei.. cos we redid all those pracs we did when we were sec 2 -
bcos the mainstreamers havent had the experiences of spreading e coli. over agar agar,
bcos the mainstreamers havent had fun with chromatography and also
bcos the mainstreamers don't know anything abt polarity and electronegativity... so quite wasting time doing all those lar...
oh ya, we have these 2 instructors, one called ms sheila, quite nice looking and friendly and she's the teacher of the whole 5 days... she's really patient with those hyperactive, imbecile-like sean's grp mates... always asking them to shut up and pay attn... and there's this ms sarina, quite attitude 'tech assistant'/'light switcher'/'freebie with our 80 course fees'... haha, basically, she's quite a klutz lar... lemme illustrate:
day 1 - we were supposed to pour liquid agar agar into our petri dish and she demostrated it for us on chin seng's grp's table... so after her demostration, we poured the agar ourselves and sealed and everything... then ms sheila told us to clean and surface steralise our table shld some of the liquid agar spill out of the dish and evryone's table was clean - except the spot ms sarina demostrated her pouring of liquid agar into.. then sua and i laffed cos she's like the lab assistant and she's supposed to be pro but it turned out that she was the only that spilled the stuff...
day 2 - she spilled ethanol on the last table while demostrating chromatography to us.. and yet again, on our table, she left a bright yellow mark of the flavanoid after showing us how to spot our silica strip... very smart hor...
day 4 - even worse, while trying to show us how to steam distillate, she stuff the whole glass bracket filled with glass beads for columns and suddenly the wind just blew the whole bracket over and it snapped! then all the glass beads spill all over... its like i shld write abt 'Ms Sarina - the Spiller' or sth... Or 'Sarina: A series of unfortunate spilling events.' klame... so sua and i always laff when she's trying to demostrate some practicals for us...
then 3rd day we haf this nerdy dorky CEO frm amdon consulting pte ltd to tok to us abt marketing strategy and everything.... quite fun lar.. cos we had to come up wif our marketing strategies for our perfume and everything.. our grp [weishi, sua, kuangli and i] came up with the mint perfume and thot of the experience we wan our audience to feel when using our perfume... then i suddenly thot abt the slogan 'even ahma can be like britney spears!' and then after a few laffs and modification, our slogan became 'the new girl in you'... haha and we introduced abt the simplistic and sophisticated [for the poor and rich] packaging and the rich one has ginseng strands and pearl powder... then weishi kept harping on the stupid idea of selling the cheap ones at the drinks stall for the old senile women to drink and all.. so stupid but he just won't stop...
4th day we had steam distillation prac and making of our own perfume... our mint natural product essential oil smelled like shit.. seriously, it smells as if its decomposed or sth... damn er... had difficulty clearing the mint from the round bottle flask after extracting the shit out of it. literally... oh ya, we also had this fun 'make ur own perfume' thing, by mixing diff essential oils in different rations, so i mixed rose:jasmine:lemongrass at the ration of 1:2:3.. smells like dishwashing liquid... sua's one is with spearmint thus it smells like chewing gum... weixin's one is with orange, smells quite unique.. sean's is mixed with weird ingredients so it smells bad.. haha... then when the 3 of us (weixin, sean and i) asked everyone to smell our perfume to see which one is the best, mine somehow won. yay!
5th day is presentation day of our perfume and marketing strategy and all.. quite fun.. we had this pic of a chio young girl on swing, we replaced the head of the girl with a senile looking old lady with wrinkled funny face and place a bright red flower on her ear like jasmine trias.. very er photo... ahha... basically nth much on fri la... except alan tang's grp presentation's acknowledgement, where they acknowledged mr. lee, who looks retarded, jun ting look-a-like, attendance marker for day 1,3,5, cheque collector, the one sua and i call 'mr. amdon', and thank mr. lee for bringing the whole group to the HCJC com lab.. and they also acknowledged leowry for marking their attendance on days 2 and 4, and mrs. har (harhar)... loll damn funny....
overall the sab is quite fun lar.. seriously... 80 bucks is quite worth it.. its quite interesting in my opinion...
loll... tok abt boarding school stay now.. hmm.. i sorta miss life at BS cos everything's so convenient and all the frenz are there and all... bahh good things nvr last... but seriously, 1 mth is just right lor... sometimes it just gets quite boring albeit the presence of my friends... the com is still essential in some sense.... thru this stay, i learnt how to appreciate my dad more, waking me up evry morning and sending me to school, cos in BS, i was the one that wakes my roommates up, and thank my parents for washing my clothes and everything, even tho in BS washing clothes is like only pressing 2 buttons but i'd still thank them for all the care and effort they put in for me to do less work.. quite a significant thing that i'd remember in my secondary sch life lar....
oh ya, something i forgot to tok abt saturday.. haha when sean and i were shopping for the senior's gift, we went to this store at cine, then look see look see... then i saw some colourful rings and sean told me his granny bought a ring for him too but he didnt like it or sth.. then i saw these colourful bands and immediately wore it cos i thot it was cool - ya noe, like those yellow bands [sth abt live strong or watver] and i took a white one and wore it.. then sean suddenly screamed at me and told me that band was a
sex band!! then i immediately took it off and the sales man laffed at me lor... its like wth, i dint noe that it was a sex band at all.. i only rmb taiboon and michael wearing a black one last yr but i seriously dint noe lor.. damn embarrassing.. and its priced at 4 for 1 buck somemore... loll.. but luckily sean told me that white colour = i wan a hug so it isnt that scary.. phew...
nvrtheless, i am beginning to get addicted to carrie's songs! those slow and melodious tunes are sooo nice.. her voice is damn zai lor seriously... bahh... and i still cant sing mario/anthony/anwar's songs... they r da bomb man... i shldnt overestimate myself....hmm.. tmr is the last day of my holiday le... got a chain of band prac frm wed to sat... bahh...
oh ya, VBC! haha we rocked ass lor... last period we lost abt 7k, this wk after ashley made major structural changes and i last minute increased price per oil barrell from 75 to 150, we actually earned 220k! omgomg, that's like big profit and big performance index lor... so zai rite? haha...
lastly, i'm seriously worrying abt SMRP and MRP cos i haven registered for project's day yet and yufeng isnt back frm england yet... sigh.... stress stress... =P
