1st Dec 2004 - The Phenomenal
!
The day started with VE and Jonathan Kee, and we learnt some Malay songs and revisited Sunset.... Shan't talk about that... So right after, Brandon, Jianyi, PinYan and I sat on Brandon's car (with his driver) to the Heerens to shop for a while at Bloomington greetings for Marcus' 2nd gift and Kun Won's gift... Then we went to 77th street for Brandon's sister's gift... Then we met pin yan at HMV and browse through the CDs and all...
Soon after, we met up with Taiboon and Alex and went for lunch at the japanese restaurant at cineleisure.. My usual chawanmushi and tori karaage set.. Mmm... However, the whole atmosphere was ruined by taiboon and pinyan, who acted seemingly as if they were brothers or what... Taiboon accidentally dropped the red squid thingy onto his pyjamas white top, pin yan called the squid an unborn baby... Taiboon kept dropping the cap of the japanese chilli spice - the one you see at yoshinoya too... Pin yan poured the spice all over on his squid, rice, chicken and even the watermelon and worse still, on the table... Pin Yan was trying to use the chopstick to scoop the holding stone in between and kept dropping it... Taiboon was squeezing the stone on lemon... See what I mean?
After that, we went to the arcade and had fun playing hockey (at Brandon's expenses, sadly) and he didn't even play! And after $6 worth of hockeying, Brandon gave us another $6 and we decided to play Dance Dance Revolution... Tai Boon rocks in that lor... Cos when Pin yan and I played it, we failed in the first stage! Lol... But it's fun nevertheless....
Next, we went to taka's cold storage to shop for goodies and junk food and were ferried back to Brandon's hse for the party without Pin Yan cos he was watching a movie on his own... And when we arrived there, we went to his guest room and gosh, it was bigger than my bedroom and even have a toilet of its own - and a big bathtub.. God...
And we went into Brandon's room and unleashed all the bubbles and made a hell out of mess with sprays, confettis, burst balloons and all.. It was fun but well messy, so we listen to songs and talked and drank and play... Then we went outside to the porch and had water balloon fight.. haha, real fun and cool...
until 6pm, we were dressed and ready for the idol grand finale... so we went there to the exclusive seats and found a goodie bag on each seat... inside was a sly/taufik flag, a light stick, achar tea bags and other insignificant stuff... oh ya, there was also a sly badge which we exchanged for the ones with 'vote taufik' on it..
so the party started and all... saw my face on TV when Jean danker was interviewing taufik's brother... haha.. i loook soo stupid but anywayz... the sound system dere was real good... as compared to the TV of cos... in the live studio, the songs were great, the atmosphere was high and all, but when I watched it again on TV, taufik's voice couldn't be heard, the 'stronger' song was bad cos only olinda could be heard... totally terrible...
and i did alot of crazy stuff during the show... like 1. smsing 'i luv u' to daniel for no apparent reason, 2.waving the banner and shouting like mad dog for no apparent reason as well, stood on those chairs and screaming my lungs out for enjoyment's sake... 3. voted 12 bucks for taufik despite having a $2 quota... and other stupid and wacky stuff that i never imagined that i would do...
but of course, other than this, there's a wonderful performance 'my prerogative' by the 11 idol finalists during the news telecast, so i guess those on TV just missed it totally... lol... saw the top 30s - imelda teo, david de cruz, benjamin eio, joice teo and lots of others on my way back from the toilet.. haha, they r still not recognised by the public though.. and were bz chatting amongst themselves and live in each other's awesomenesses....
so after shouting and screaming for about 3 and a half hrs under the intensively high atmosphere, the results was finally out! of cos, taufik won like expected... even tho, i must admit, sly did quite well too in the live studio... things are of cos different when watched on tv like i've said... haha..
seriously this is a real wonderful day cos its like finally, an eventful day in my 2 mth holiday.... but there's still something else that's bad i have in mind right now... yupz, my friendship with jianyi is now sooo strained that we weren't really enjoying each other's company yesterday cos somehow, there's a glass block in between us... and perhaps the only thing that can bring us back together is.. umm.. taiboon i guess... to salvage this fading friendship... i mean, we had a tiff this afternn, under the conversation between jianyi, taiboon and i... it was like jianyi said he could hold a long note like diana's, then i immediately wrote out that's because his long note was a comfortable note to hold and he said i despised him and all.. but after a quick thought, i rmbed how he could always hold longer notes than me and told him that, but he was like already flustered and said how insensitive i was like someone we know, and suddenly said that he didn't want to talk to me anymore... and dere i was like, stunned yet a little angry at his pettiness and asked why, cos in my mind, i must admit, i was indeed a little jealous at first, but on second thought, i realised that yea, it's possible that he can hold the long note and all... so when i tried to express my 'second thought', then jianyi was like 'but you aren't tactful enough in telling me that'.. and i was like shocked cos excuse me, i don't have such great linguisitc ability like him, writing to alfian sa'at and writing some other fictional stories cos i suck in english.. i mean, he's like turning so petty and oversensitive and all and sometimes its just too much for me to handle... sigh, i really think we need to cool down and talk to each other next time, cos we definitely have to work well together with SMP coming up next yr... haiz... i hate myself...
