Results Update!
Sigh... The time has come again.. The lsat day of school term as young and kiasu children are eager to get their term reports which consitutes 3.33% of their final score.
Anyway, I ain't sure I am happy wif my results anot... Even though I had
1.633 for MSG. Even though I was the
3rd in class... But this has spurred me to do better and be more kiasu to ask for marks from teachers.
I finally experienced the pain of 'So near yet so far' as this scenario happened:
English Language - 64.23 B3
Integrated Humanities - 74.44 A2
I mean, I just need like
0.3mark to get a grade above and it's like so close for 2 subjects. Sigh... Nevertheless, its fate I guess. I mean, I am very lucky to get A1 for maths and science, which are the common papers that screwed up everyone's MSG. Except the top 4 in class la... But English was the main screw up cos the highest, presumably Kuang Li, was the only 75mark A1 in class.... Oh it was sad, but I vow to work harder to get better grades to break my 1.5 MSG and below barrier.
If yufeng, taiboon and sheng wei did it, why can't I right?
My motto for this year: "I must get less than 1.6 MSG and squeeze into 3 strong!"
2. Band Organisation:
Today the sec 3 were out for some army camp thingy, so Khaiboon our respected
DM, appointed the favourites Nicholas and Sean to be leaders for today's practice. Woah, as claimed by Khaiboon - "This appointment of leaders dusen mean anything." Rite.
Anyway, today's band practice was quite okay, despite my reluctance to turn up all the time, I managed to survive it, with Kun won beside telling mi lame stuff and entertain mi... :D
So after Mr. Lim dismissed us thanks to nicholas 'informing' him about the Ortus nite, we were let off earlier by 15mins i think. Then Sean, after being pulled to the front by lotsa pple due to his popularity, squatted us and everyone was like laffing and stuff...
But basically, he took attendance then dismissed us. It was basically alrite lar.. But didnt Khaiboon realised the psychological effects that will go into diff. people in this appointment of 'leaders'? I mean, some DM wanna-bes will either be jealous or either attitude or wadeva... But I think everything will come into the voting next year, the physique of the person and the interviews of the selected candidates.
In my opinion, if I were to look by physique, Sean will definitely win most of the sec 2s cos he got the looks and friendly, charismatic smile to 'dian' the ny gals and stuff... His height is also an advantage oso... If I were to look by support, Sean will oso win cos he is so damn popular, as in people will choose for him to be an exco member even if he dusen intend to be one. Lastly, if I were to judge by ability to discipline the band, Melvin and nicholas will win cos they are more stern and disciplined as compared to the image Sean gives. Sean have a possibility to be the next Khaiboon, that is friendly and likeable to everyone. However, things might have a turn since the outdoor aspect of a DM is more important now due to our involvement in teh SYF outdr 2006... Fate decides everything I guess and I have minimal say in this. Good luck to ya...
My motto for band: "I wanna be just an ordinary member, under my fave SL Kun Won and mebbe Sean for any major post. I might wanna be a secretary but that will only happen if the job post is actually opened up. Sigh... Being an ordinary member is still much better."
3. Bilingualism
Today, just before Chinese lesson, YangWZ asked me, yufeng, sua, yonglin and zhenghang to go see Mr. Tan Deputy Principal about the Bilingual Elite class programme thingy that he recommended us to join. Turned out that it was just another simple calligraphy, mountain-water art appreciation class thingu to raise our awareness of the ever-lasting, important yet outstanding
Cheena culture. Boring.. I mean, I was lyk bored even for the chinese history presentation and now this. Also, my english is like shit lor. The only person that I know of in class that is good both in Chinese and English is probably Sua yu. Or perhaps yufeng. Yong lin and Zhenghang just can't make the mark. Anyway, we were told tt the Channel U pple will interview 2 of us at 1.30pm and he only wanted Singaporeans. This shoes he discrmination against the PRCs... But it cant be helped rite? Some of the PRCs are indeed like animals - chimpanzees and stuff...
So, 1.30pm and we were brought to the conference and sat there and tok crap and waited until the pple came. But they never did and Sua and I so much wanted to go back class and receive our term reports... Nevertheless, i wanted to be a good boy so I made sua stayed wif mi as well. Honestly, if sua and yufeng weren't in this thing wif mi, and I was stuck wif yonglin and zhenghang, I would have just left them there and go back to class liao... Haha.. So 2.15 and they werent here still so the 5 reps from 2M including yonglin and zhenghang snooped off for lunch and Ep3... Who noes wat happened in the end...
But I realli dun tink there is a need to have this bilingual programme and it is virtually impossible to train 200 pupils from the school to be good in both languages, it is beyond any one's capailities to do so and it aint' possible. But since the govt wanted it, MOE will just hafta follow and our school, being the only school in Singapore that starts wif '
THE' and being internationally well known as the bilingual school, we were 'fortunate' the have the opportunity to train these 200 students, together wif Dunman High. Anyway, I dun tink I will be interested in this programme and be termed as the
"gepers of the gepers of the gepers' cos this class is presumably
more elite than the GEP+ a.k.a Humans class so I shant even consider at all cos I noe my limits. It dusen exist. Rite.
