Phew band is finally over! But nevertheless, I've got so much to say about every little thing in my life that may seem so ever uninteresting to all.
BUT I am still going to say it. No matter what. So Jian Yang can have the liberty of
NOT reading my blog for leisure purposes and laugh at my pathetic grammatical errors that somehow have popped up for every 5 words that I typed.
Ok, firstly, I am happy to say that I sort of like band nowadays, esp. morning assembly cos there are 2 things in life to cheer me up during flag raising. 1. I get to see Kun Won, Sean, Rujun, Chin Seng and Khaiboon etc. and these people mean a lot to my school band life cos' without them I will be like so sad and lonely and blah~. And for bonuses, sometimes I get to meet up with and talk to my favourite senior ever in my secondary school band life, Daniel, cos' he always arrives school at about 7.05am so we can meet and talk a little before he goes for his O levels science practical prelims. These people really always brighten up my day before everything. 2. Terence is currently practising with me to hold long notes on my euphonium -
Long High Notes. Sigh.. For some reason, my tone is still like shit but for some other queer reasons, Terence actually likes my tone. I still have difficulties pulling concert E flat and F, cos my high pitching sucks big time, but for today, I can actually pitch Concert G, a new note that I can never play for more than one beat of it! Yay!
Also, nowadays I have alot of fave songs to sing - Hmm.. Under Marcus' influence, I now like Breakaway by Kelly, Our Lips are Sealed by Haylie and Hilary Duff, Fly by Hilary Duff. Under the good recommendation of Cinderella Story by Marcus also, I downloaded the movie and watched it. Of course, I then downloaded the OST: Now You Know, Come Clean, Girl Can Rock by Hilary Duff and the Best Day of My Life by Jessey McCartney. And under Jianyi's influence and Singapore idol's influence, I've revisited loads of old 'idol' songs and If I Ain't Got You by Alicia Keys. However, with my possibly breaking of voice, I seemingly cannot reach the high registers like I could last time. Nevertheless, I am still happy with my range cos' I can still sing higher than most people in class.
P.S.: If any of you haven't heard Marcus sing "Breakaway", you should. His singing is quite nice basically, very nice tone and good pitching, a potential disinterested singer. Lol, I just remembered that I wrote 'Singing' under the Intellectual Disposition and 'Singer' as my aspiration in the Interestalyser given at the start of the year. So pai seh... :S
Last thing is
I MUST GET SLEEP!!! Especially this week, I've been sleeping at 12 something, and the next day I always took extra naps on the car and my eyes and face look so energy-less during flag raising and that's like so ugly! Not that I am very vain and stuff, but really, it feels so bad to be tired, during class when I feel so much like shutting my eyelids and doze off, which i have never done before and talking lame stuff to Jianyi cos I have the habit of saying lame stuff when I am bored/tired. Third lang is even worse, esp. on Monday, when our class is not air-conditioned, I
ALWAYS doze off for 5 minutes and learn nothing much. That's sad because my grades have been dropping from A1 to B3 and I really have to work harder to get back to A1 for my End of Year Examination. Sigh... And there's japanese oral exam tomorrow and I haven't prepared for the 1 minute speech! Gosh... I am so slacky.
Signing off,
KX
