Sec 2 Annual Camp - Nin Tai Desu Ne~....
Pre Camp: Woo-hoo! I haf the best group ever... Wif pple like yufeng, shengwei, joshua and so on....
This is all crap. Total, utter, complete crap.
Camp day One:
A rather exciting day at the start. Carried my 7-10 kg bag to the terraces and sang the National Anthem and said the Pledge with pride. Havent done that for say, 1.5 yrs alreadi?
Then right after some geek from class 2L, suddenly told me that I was the group leader for my group 9 and I was made to carry a vanguard sheet with the ugly number 9 on it... Then when the groups were assembled on the track, attendance was taken and I just realised something... Lan Ying Jie was in our group. Gosh. Darn, I hate my life....
He switched group from taiboon's gp to my gp cos he couldnt associate wif Darrell Lian. And the worse thing is, Esther Cheong allows him to do so! Argh! *Stabs myself wif 3 knives at one go.
Ok, so we went to the camp, wif alot of 2N pple in my gp sick, namely Ashley and Xin Hui.... Total strength reduced to 18. Then after settling at the basketball courts of CDANS, Zhansheng and Malcolm went home. Further reduction to 16. Sianz... Btw, here's the bad news: I was in the same grp wif Kuang Li. He likes to touch my ears. Here's the good news: He isn't a homosexual. So he won't 'rape' me like what everyone says that he would do.
Then we went to set up our tents. I for some stupid reason, set up the tent wif Shengwei, kuang li and kah wee. I have myself to blame this time, cos the pple I set up the tent wif were the ones that will sleep wif mi that nite... Sighs... I sense more teasing about kuang li raping mi... Can't they just like shut up for once?
We then settled at the area under a chalet and began coming up wif our gp name called 'Ninja Nine' corny name that is and we employed 2 cheers i/c - Lan yingjie and ting wei, which came up wif lame cheers esp. from lan ying jie that left me speechless after his demostration of his 'creative' and 'nice' cheers. So Shangda used his skills of AEP to design our flag and zhenghang, being a jap A1 and chinese pro wrote the chinese words 'ren zhe jiu' out. And shuyuan coloured the chinese characters, joshua coloured the inferno wif nice blend of purple and green. And i sat down wif the others and began to scribble some crap at the borders of the flag like 'Bite Me', "joshua sucks', 'khee xuan is a slut...' and so on...
Then we had lunch, which was ngoh hiang (five spices roll), fried fish and some vegetables. So me, sheng wei and yufeng said together to 'enjoy' the lunch which then I gave yufeng all my vegetables cos I am strictly meat-eating so I finished my meal and went off...
Btw, I forgot to introduce our 'favourite' instructor - VINCENT! He is the best instructor one would ever meet, the best instructor in CDANS and F.I.T. He gives everything to a group except encouragement, support, connection wif gp, lenience, smiles, everything goody to the group. We all love him. Don't we? More elaboration later....
Then we had our high elements course which 3 volunteers went for flying fox. Pity i didnt go.. Sigh.. :( But we started off the high elements wif ting wei cos he wore the harness alreadi... He tried the hanging ladder thing that seemed to be a hard stuff to do cos he had to jump across ladders that were hanging and was wobbly. After crossing over all ladders, we found out tt the belaying line was caught in the space between the ladders and ting wei was supposed to go around the suspending ladders, not across them. Haha, so he had to go over the course again and finally landed safely. Just when we were abt to give 3 cheers to him for his completion of task, all his limelight was stolen by Jianyang flying fox-ing down from the tower. Sad....
Then we had shang da to climb the ladder thing, which he failed to climb over 3 rungs. So after a dozen tries, he had to give up cos he was takin up too much time. More sadness...
Rite next was Kuang li's attempt. This time, wei min was the belayer and I was the anchorman. He was fast in the whole course though and he had to literally jump down from the wooden platform at the sides of the ladder... SO he did and we caught him well and slowly descended him....
Then we switched courses to the rope walking wif two handles at the sides. Seemed easy enough. Shuyuan was upfirst and successfully completed the task well. Then it was sheng wei, which small yufeng at the weight of 42kg belayed 59kg SW and guess who was the anchorman. 40kg me! So it was 82kg up against 59kg SW and gravity shld he fall. Luckily he completed the task successfully and when he jumped off the platform, we caught him quite well.... Kudos to us! :P
Then it was yufeng's turn to do the course, and this time it was me to belay him. Never felt tt impt in my life before. But I forgot to mention about the fact that I had taken belaying lessons before since primary five therefore belaying is chicken feet to mi which it took me 3 seconds to recall everything and I successfully belayed yufeng properly...
